September 1st 2006. On this day we ask you to pledge to remove IE from one friend or relative's computer, and keep it off.

Make a pledge, make a blogpost, make a website.

Make a banner, make a button, make a script that obscures your page for one day only.

Make a stand, and make the Internet a better place.

On September 1st, help someone you know to improve their life, and the internet.

It's true, the web should be about openness, like open source, and stuff.

Surely we can’t just tell people that IE is a bad browser, instead of developing such a Nazi style offensive against it… And like the person above said, this really does sound like something Microsoft would do. i42e? You need a life, and maybe a few friends wouldn’t go amiss either…

Down with IE, for to long has spyware been infecting peoples pc’s through IE’s faults, and microsoft takes its sweet ass time trying to fix them.

i was getting bored as IE sits there and does / has nothing, then got Firefox and loaded the Stumble add-on, Now IE can go F__k itself, the internet is gr8 again..

i think boycotting ie is great, but what people are forgetting or maybe they don’t know is that ie7 is coming out (actually beta’s are already out) and it’s suppose to support more standards like ff and the others. so when that day comes and more and more people start using it, if ie7 delivers good browsing capabilities and web standards, will it be time to stop hating ie or should people still keep protesting it? that is, of course, if ie7 delivers. if it doesn’t, then by all means keep on hating ie.
